Being a college coach and current instructor who specializes in skill development, I have been involved with teaching and training countless numbers of players at all levels over the past 30 plus years.
With today's youth being bigger, faster, stronger and more athletic, the game of basketball has risen to new heights.
Skill can be a GREAT equalizer and can separate the great players from the average players. When I'm working with a young player, my goal is to improve his or her skill level in key areas such as shooting, ball handling, footwork, screens, court vision, rebounding, blocking out, passing, intelligent and intense defense, communicating with teammates, balance and SPORTSMANSHIP.
I strongly emphasize repetition and PERFECT FORM to achieve maximum results.

So far the boys and girls from the Royal Basketball Academy have
dribbled 18,931 miles! The goal is for them to dribble 24,902
miles as a group on a local bike path. They started their mission
of dribbling around the world in June of 2001. They hope to reach
their goal by the year 2010. Keep checking every week to see their
progress. Pictures and video will be available soon. We
broke
10,000 miles

"The more I watch the game, the more I realize that while easy to understand
and simple to demmonstrate, it is nevertheless a challenge to skill. It is only
through thorough fundamentals and constant practice that championships are won."
Dr. James Naismith The Inventor of Basketball |
